David Wihl, CEO

Fifteen years ago, David founded a software company in his basement. Today, SoftArtisans has over 20,000 customers in 70 companies, and its premiere product, OfficeWriter, was acquired by Microsoft in 2007. David was Director of R&D at Logibec (LGI.T), and worked at Société Générale in Paris and Digital Equipment Corp in Massachusetts prior to starting SoftArtisans. Dan Medeiros, VP of Operations

Dan manages all things legal, financial and HR for Riparian Data, and serves as a key member in all short- and long-term business strategies. He received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and is a former practicing bankruptcy, consumer protection and corporate reorganization attorney. He is also a fervent member of the Militant Grammarians of Massachusetts and an advocate for SICDS awareness. You can follow him on Twitter, though he doesn’t use it often.

Brian Barnes, Director of Marketing

Brian is responsible for all things product at Riparian and loves talking to customers about how much time they spend on email every day.  He's managed products at some of Boston's best software companies for almost 20 years and also got his MBA from Babson College.  When Brian isn't building killer products chances are he's building something at home or doing anything outside.  You can follow him on Twitter

Paula Marciante, Director of Human Relations

Paula comes to Riparian with over a decade of corporate and startup recruiting experience, and her talent scouting skills put Mila Kunis’s to shame. Despite a less than stellar Beirut game, she’s persuaded many an ultra-choosy developer to sign dotted lines at AisleBuyer, Cengage, and State Street. Paula holds a BS in Business from Purdue and an MBA from Temple University in Human Resourcs Management. Find her on Twitter and LinkedIn.

Nick Martin, VP of Development

 Nick magicks software into existence. sans robe and wizard hat. Occasionally, he also fulfills the role of team scrummaster and czar of our office buying committee. In the distant past (like, more than 2 years ago), Nick worked on everything from social web applications to MAC protocols. Since then, he's built Office processing software, installers, HBase integration, automated email categorization and built an email client...thrice. He's also a published author on light'n'fluffy subjects like government security.

Tamar Rucham, Software Engineer

Don't let her BA in fine arts fool you, Tamar is actually one of our software engineers and works on anything that needs to get done, which currently means iOS development. In the past few years she worked on projects varying from cracking the Excel binary format to BlackBerry development (rip, Pylon). She is currently pursuing a Master in IT from the Harvard Extension school, and in her non-existant free time enjoys traveling to weird places around the world.

Scott Dugas, Software Engineer

Scott is one of our software engineers, spending his work hours writing code that does stuff and fixing code that doesn't do stuff properly. He went to RPI for Computer Science and Mathematics, and loves rock climbing and a well-crafted sea shanty. Find him on Github and Twitter.

Christiana Viscusi, Web/Graphic Designer

Christiana is our resident web and graphic design artist, managing all of our branding in both the digital and print spheres. With her web and graphic design prowess, Christiana has overseen our visual presence for over 8 years and counting. Holding a B.S. in Graphic Design from Chamberlayne School of Design, Christiana has worked on creating various sites, logos and graphics for a number of projects. Christina Nguyen, Product Designer

A programmer deployed a beta empathy patch to Christina a few years ago. This morphed into an obsession with observing humans, which works pretty well for Riparian Data, where she works on architecting interfaces for humans. Prior to the upgrade, she cofounded an educational web application and studied at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. You can find her tweeting about humans, clouds, and her trouble navigating three-dimensionality.

Jim Stallings, IT Manager

Jim is our resident IT expert, overseeing everything from databases to mobile devices.  Jim joined SoftArtisans in 2008 as a junior systems administrator. Jim holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts. He founded the exclusive SA Anglers Association, cooks a mean hard-boiled egg, and plays Beckenbauer to Dan's Pelé on the soccer field. You can definitely follow him on Twitter, though if you're a Yankees fan, you may not want to.
